Visual Brand Language: the Droplet

The goal of this assignment was to design a watering can that followed the visual brand language of sousei by Espoma. The targeted customer of this product is one who pursues a sustainable lifestyle and promotes the associated values. Furthermore, this customer is one living in a small, urban space. 
 
The first step of this assignment was to create imageboards centered around the four guiding principles of this design: Natural, Calm, Fluid and Wellness.
The second step of this assignment was to storyboard the current watering process of our targeted customer. I chose to follow a user who waters flowers frequently in her small apartment. 
Inspired by my imageboards and user story, I designed a watering can (the Droplet) that could fit into a small, narrow space and is beautiful enough to leave on display on a table or bookshelf.
