Oneiric Emptiness was an installtion inpired in the analysis of the videclip “Drops” by the Swedish band Iamamiwhoami. As its name indicates the concept shows the merger between “the emptiness” and “the oneiric”. “The emptiness” is that lonely reality in which hopelessness and abuse create the feelings of melancholy and frivolity. On the other hand, “the oneiric” is the fantasy universe in which dreams are at center of everything. By merging these two concepts in the installation we hoped to create in the viewer the feeling of being in the limit between these two worlds. The drop represents the strengthening of the character when faced with the troubles of daily life. To create this atmosphere in the installation we use the following materials: plaster powder, plaster band, scraps of white cloth, silicon fiber, woolen threads, linen threads, cotton threads and finally medium sized led lights.
