Wayfinding - Copenhagen Airport

Development of a coherent wayfinding concept for Copenhagen Airport, regarding passengers who are going from Terminal 3’s north end to Terminal 2. The challenge and project was to change the existing passenger-flow. The project started out in 2012, with a thorough wayfinding analysis, which also dealt with the excisting signage. The dimensions, shape and content of the signage has been reconsidered, and a new signage design is in use. A more slim and elegant expression. The challenge of this project was to get the passengers to think of Terminal 2 and 3 as two different and independent terminals. Also some moving of existing signage made the whole wayfinding more clear. A strong but simple idea has had a great impact on the flow. The idea was to seperate the existing sign into two, so the passengers will percieve the terminals as two seperate ones. This was one of my projects while doing an internship at Kontrapunkt. The project is realized and can be seen at Copenhagen Airport.
