A contemporary Australian typeface developed from the original woodtype Gothic Rounded. The base
layer is a slightly altered version of the original face and the second layer constructed from wattle leaves was created from scratch. The entire face was designed to have a feminine Australian feel capable of workining combination or independently. The typeface is dubbed Esther Dean in homage to a Sydney based gardener, who popularised no-dig gardening – a layering process which is also representative of the layered type face.
