How it All Began
What started as a simple thought of a funny, comical idea to make clown shoes for one of my friends turned into a fun, arts-and-crafts-like project that allowed me to construct these shoes. When I think about my friend, I think about his silly and unserious nature, which is why my shoes are clown shoes. I got the term "Bozo" from Bozo the Clown, and also from a silly insult that we call each other. I decided to make the shoes out of paper and cardboard because I think it added on to the "silliness" of clown shoes. Normal shoes would have been cool to do, but cardboard shoes just make the whole appeal seem a bit more random and out of place, just like a clown, whose whole appeal is to act random and bizarre.
