Switzerland is an insular and isolated country, one which we address through a fictional narrative based on real events drawn from various sources. This piece of fiction takes the shape of a logbook: Greetings from SwitzerlandWe are trying to understand the spatial boundaries of the Swiss territory, as well as the spatial boundary of a diplomatic mission on its ground.

Numerous international organizations have established their headquarters in Geneva since the creation of the UN. The program we are defining is a diplomatic mission aimed at flooded countries: nations whose state, culture or people have survived but whose territory has become hostile to live in.

Contrarily to classic diplomatic missions whose limit is a binary system, our project adopts a neutral outlook and allows the general public almost unlimited access. Thus the limit between host and guest state becomes a place of exchange.

The program of this mission is inspired by Lawrence Durrell’s description of life in an embassy in “Antrobus Complete”. Our project presents the elaboration of spaces and atmospheres conducive to this very universe.
