In October of 2013 I was tasked with the visual concept of a yearly calendar that Smarter Media has done with the Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa for over 5 years. 

 

Blackboards were used as the back drop in the children's photographs this year and the chalk theme blossomed from there. Photography was provided by the client. I took the best looking and created the layout and design for each page. Each child's name was in a chalk font while the cover and background on month pages received a chalk "doodle" element to their design. I also incorporated vector clip art of school themed elements to give the pages more depth and color.

 

I enjoyed this project overall because DSAT has some wonderful parents involved as well as great kids who make it a joy to give back and create something fun and special as they are.
