This project involved creating and testing self-driving code for the OttoKart in a group of three comprised of myeslf, Malynn Price, and Aidan Paul. The furthest recorded distance of our code was 1599 feet and demonstrated an ability to adapt to changing lighting, detect shadows and correct for them, and identify the difference between the grass and road through several methods like thresholding and identifying a color range using the camera on the front.
Initial code testing was performed on the adorably small OttoBot that detected a small track and was able to successfully drive while detecting and accounting for turns.
