The OttoKart and OttoBot

The OttoKart is an all electric golf cart that utilizes OpenCV running in Processing (Java) to drive itself through the Berry College campus. Throughout the semester my team developed a self driving algorithm focused handsfree navigation using color and edge detection.

Before programming the OttoKart, we built and learned autonomous driving techniques using a small scale version called the OttoBot. Using color detection in OpenCV, the OttoBot was able to drive autonomously around a square track endlessly.
The twelve part video journal of the OttoKart, OttoBot, and our other class project the ChibiKart can be found below. The group theme for the semester was 90's Infomercials, which was used in theming videos and outfits for our first track day exam. All video editing done by Aidan Paul.
