The Beastly Mercantile

Packaging
The Beastly Mercantile is a concept that I developed for a school project. I created the logo, multiple branding pieces, a catalog/poster, packaging for four products, and a point of purchase display.

The Beastly Mercantile was inspired by American pioneers, those who packed up their families and their belongings and headed West, in search of land and prosperity, in search of adventure and freedom. For those pioneers, general stores, or mercantiles, offered a wide variety of goods necessary to the success of their journeys: spices, meats, elixirs, fabrics, tobacco, rifles, lanterns—you name it, the mercantile likely had it.

The Beastly Mercantile is a small, Minnesota-based company specializing in handcrafted American goods, reminiscent of items likely to be found in the general stores of centuries past. Beastly was created for today’s pioneers, for those who still believe in the Frontier, who live in the moment, and who can never quite shake their wanderlust.
