The Banchan& x Sodeulneock
More Than That (MTT) worked on the design of the food package that was developed through a collaboration with Dongwon Food’s The Banchan& and restaurant company Sodeulnyeok.
Sodeulnyeok is a brand with a 30-year tradition that is famous for its kalbi (barbequed beef short ribs). It is an honest restaurant company that selects, trims, and presents fresh raw meat. The companies worked together to develop the food package in a way that would showcase their respective reliable corporate images gained from their long histories. As the two companies provide service based on the open market, we decided to focus on the communication between companies, products, and consumers. We created the concept design of “our exciting dining table.” We expressed a pleasant dining experience through illustrations that convey the communication between customers and products. We wanted to reveal the expressions about the taste of food by using simple line drawings, a minimal and aesthetically arranged layout, and the unique color of the product.
