This project started with the word stain which led me to look into graffiti art and characters within graffitti. From this I developed characters called Hmms. I left the hmms in places (around my university) with instructions to see how people interacted with them, included are some of the pictures participants took. Towards the end of the project I created minature cast versions of the hmms to (magneticallly) attach and interchange within the final pieces of the broach, necklace and ring. This was exhibited in Fusion Cafe during Galvanize Sheffield (2013) to mark the 100th anniversary of stainless steel.
