DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES - Since the 2021 Dubai Airshow, November 14-18, strikes against unmanned aerial Aircrafts have been a reality, but not as much as drones.

Two drone operators unveiled at the event demonstrating the UAE's interest in this technology.

Emirati International Golden Group unveils Israel's Skylock system, which has been tested in the United Arab Emirates.

Fortem announced on the show that by integrating new movies into SkyDome, the system can now handle the UAV threat separately as group 2 and group 3. This means that from 2015 the system can now target drones weighing more than 1,320 pounds.
Ministry of Defense report on unmanned aircraft systems. The previous SkyDome was only capable of carrying medium drones weighing over 20 pounds.

Fortem CEO Timothy Bean has claimed that the counter-drone system is 100% self-sufficient and the company is working to combat drone swarms.

He added that Boeing, Toshiba and Mubadala had invested in the company and that the United Arab Emirates had ordered the systems.

SkyDome works by radar guidance and physical tracking. The system includes the TrueView radar system, power management and drone hunting.


This is a basic drone with two integrated boxes that release their nets in the event of a threat.
