가전제품과 인테리어는 서로 떨어질 수 없는 시너지를 가지고 있다. 1970년도 인테리어 구조는 거실과 부엌이 분리된 공간구조물, 1980년도 이후에는 합쳐진 공간이 탄생, 그리고 현재는 언택트 시대로 재택 생활이 늘어나면서 키친은 단순히 요리만을 하는 공간이 아닌, ‘홈 오피스, 홈 카페’로 늘어나는 추세이다. 즉, 사용자 편리성에 맞추어 인테리어와 제품은 서로 상호작용을 하고, 시대의 흐름에 맞추어 변형이 된다. 홈 에듀케이션, 홈 오피스로 프린터는 필수 제품이 되고 있지만, 제한적이고 많은 공간을 차지하는 큰 사이즈 디자인으로 인해 대부분 먼지가 쌓인 채구석에 방치되어 있다. Pixfit는 빌트인 형태의 프린터를 제안했다. 에듀케이션 및 오피스, 요리 레시피까지 폭넓게 활용 가능하도록 부엌과 거실의 빌트인 공간에 Pixfit를 설치할 수 있다. Pixfit는 What is the Next Generation? 라는 질문을 시작으로 나온 프린터 제품 디자인이다. 고객들이 주어진 공간에 customize 할 수 있게 사용자에게 캔버스를 주는 제품이며 초개 인화 맞춤형 프린터이다.

In modern times, the stereotype of using kitchens solely for cooking has changed due to social distancing effects. People naturally changed their habits from the environment given by working and staying at home. They serve various purposes like a “Home Café”, “Home Office” or Online Education. As a result, changes in interior design occur according to the changing needs and user experience. While “Home Office” and Online Education users are increasing, printer’s sales have doubled compared to 2019. Printers are becoming more efficient, and are necessary to have for working at home, or educational purposes. Having home printers is beneficial, but also irritating to own. Printers take too much space that people put it at the corner of the table, or closets. Pixfit used built in method to solve the problem. Pixfit is a built in printer that came from the insight of interior and product design. It provides users with a product that can be customized to fit into their current environment. Pixfit printer provides a canvas to users.
