Project Overview
 
This was a personal project to create an animated character with multiple joints in Adobe Aftereffects. The project was to display a strong understanding of animation from the character model created. I decided to go for a walk cycle for this robot character, i had to take into account that this was a character made from metal so it had to move clunky but still have a form of character to it.
 
The concepts for the character design were hand drawn and then scanned into photoshop to design the final model, the model was then seperated into parts that were then ready to animate. Within After effects I placed the parts into layers and animated using the keyframe system. After I was happy with the result I added a glow to the bulb and a shadow to give a sense of atmoshpere.
