‘Vers’ is a new set of controllers that are specially designed for todays’ Metaverse games and entertainment. Since Alpha generation will face various contents with no clear boundary between the real world and virtual world, a new set of controllers needs to be designed. Controllers are no longer restricted to stationary, passive interactions. With Vers, kids are able to express and enjoy more on Metaverse world. They can now experience much more active and realistic games.

Controllers are ergonomically designed so that it’s comfortable enough for kids. Also, the modular design of the controller helps users to experience it better. For example, you can just go with the original form when you want to precisely control the screen, or you can use the gun type by simply turning the head to mirror your actual moves. In order to allow both modes to be used with ease, we worked hard on choosing where to put various buttons, like the trackpad and ring buttons.

For better experience and active communication within the metaverse, a set of pads is used when playing certain games, like running games or any other ones where you need both feet to actively move around. All sides of the pads are magnetic for custom usage in various games. Considering jumping and stepping on the pad, the top part is slightly cushioned, and made of a mesh fabric used for sportswear. The bottom part is made of silicone to make sure it stays stationary when used, and we paid lots of attention to bringing that shape of corners which is safe enough when kids accidentally fall or trip over.

The target user of Vers’ controller set is the Alpha generation, but we thought that it’s essential to design the appearance to match the simple, modern home interiors of their millennium parents. And this is why our basic product line is grey and white in color, but they can be customized into various colors as well.

The controller box is basically a storage of all compositions, and it also works as a speaker. This controller box is most likely to be placed in the living room, so we tried to design it in a way that would mingle with the interiors of the house.

The Alpha generation will face content with no clear boundary between the real world and the virtual world. And we thought that a new set of controllers is needed to provide flexible usage in such contents.
