Altered Book
I collect old books. I find them to be very fascinating and the older the book the more excited it makes me. This particular book is German. I spent quite some time going back and forth between Iowa and Frankfurt, Germany while a sophomore in college. It was a tremendous opportunity that will hold a significant place in my life and create inspiration throughout my artwork as will my other travels. With this book, I used graphite to draw the Frankfurt skyline in the middle spread. You might see a similar trend with this particular skyline throughout a few of my other works.
