Menu Design
Function Package for the Company
The Apple Shed is a beautiful restaurant in Mapua, in the South Island of New Zealand. The owner was looking to re-design his menus, to add some hierarchy between items and to grab the customers attention among the competition and gives enough information to the visitors. He was also looking to create Function packages for Christmas time.
To pull the attention of customers I’ve decided to divide their lunch menu into five categories; starters, wharf classic, main, sides and to add the dessert. I tried to create a one page menu and to make it clean and elegant, something which matches the company’s branding and the rest of the website style.
After working on few templates, my final result was a simple menu design but that gives you a personalised feeling. I tried to find a balance between a good colour choice, hierarchy, illustrations and matching font families. When the lunch menu was finalise, I then start to work on the rest of the menus: dinner, dessert, afternoons.
The 2 illustrations that I chose at the end are made in illustrator.

Each one of those maintains the same style in design and allow the visitors to have all the information they need in one place.
