ita airways (design exercise)



The undeniable heritage.
During the last pandemic, there was a lot of bad news, not just terrible human losses, but also many companies that closed their doors. Among the ones that fall into the abyss, it was the beloved Alitalia company. A state-owned airway that had to reinvent itself.
Like many designers out there, when I saw the new graphics and logo I thought something more interesting could be done. So, as an exercise I tried my best to come up with a new brand, looking back to the great past of the previous brand but also looking at the future, as always.
Not just a tagline, but an attitude.
Being state-owned, ita belongs to all Italians, it should be a reflection of their strength as a community and a symbol of Italian rebirth after the pandemic. This tag line shows both the importance of this airline belonging to every Italian and also how by regaining the skies they'll make the world their own. Italy is yours, the world is ours.
