Ever fancied being a part of Grand Theft Auto? This piece takes the inspiration of GTA to deliver a highly stylised and impactful effect. Adapted from a PixImperfect tutorial, this was really fun to produce.
The project is constructed from three separate images with a range of filters and effects to give the signature GTA look. A heavy use of Surface Blur, Diffuse, Oil Paint and Unsharp Mask build up the style. Finished off with a bit of masking and colour grading to bring everything together. Type was a from Adobe Fonts (Force) and provides a passable version of the iconic game font.
Similar techniques applied to the background but with a little additional masking to give a slightly hazy effect.
