The 31 circles project is a new project of Denny Stoekenbroek. By creating 31 circles he creates a realistic portrait. By creating a portrait with just 31 circles in 1 colour you have the struglle you cant add all the details, just the elements that makes the face popping have to be added. This is a project about choices. what do you draw and what not, if you leave a detail is the artwork still complete. When you look long enough you see the hidden faces come out of the circles and maybe you see more details than they are. that makes the artwork complete. the setup of the artwork and the imagination of the spectator.

The artworks are handdrawn with Pigma okura pens on high quality Claire Fontaine paper. The circles were made with the Ddiin design tool.
