Redevelopment project of quarter in the center of Warsaw, located between streets Nowy Swiat, Foksal and Smolna.

The area of quarter is bordered by one of the main tourist streets of Warsaw - Nowy Swiat, there are plenty of tourist attractions, restaurants, pubs etc. Close to the site there is also the the National Museum. From the east quarter is bordered by vast green areas of the Slope of the Warsaw.

 

Today inside the quarter there is a lot of old houses, destroyed during the WW II and not refurbished. Internal areas of quarter are undeveloped and neglected, although quarter is part of crowded center of Warsaw. Most of them are just turned into parking lots. But inside the quarter there is also one of the most  famous night spots in Warsaw called 'Pawilony' (which means Pavilions). Every varsovian loves that place and despite on area which surround it (parking lots and destoyed buildings) no one even think of destruction 'Pavilions'.

The main goal of redesign quarter was to keep an old scheme of buildings (which are mostly under protection) and add buildings inside the quarter to revive it and create new funcions bringing benefits to local people, living in existing buidings, and people from all Warsaw and tourists.
The idea for the rest of quarter is follow-up with buildings on the south, making new 'facade' of street, transform playground into sport complex and attractive areas on east near Warsaw's Slope.

Idea is to divide interior on three parts : 'Pavilions' , center square and pavilions with art galleries, coffe shops, art studios and local shops.
