Makkah Plaza Design
In this project: The client requested an extension to the adjacent building which was a palace that belonged to King Faisal during his reign, The extension focused on integrating the public close to where it wasn't accessible before, merging the old with the new, while maintaining a postmodern character from the architecture of the country, due to some out of control circumstances the project was put on hold in the construction stage.

Due to its special conditions I had to approach this site carefully, designing the façade with a post modern Islamic style that would reflect the surrounding architecture of the nearby palace. I also created the landscaped plaza area in the middle along with a water body, as an element of temperature mitigation.

mphasized the strength of the portal, in the main entrance creating a sense of invitation for by passers and new comers, which also showed a sense of connection with Islamic architectural arches and designs, that can be seen a lot in the nearby palace. aside from this I also designed the plaza central tower that is rich with Islamic motif decorations, and Arabic scriptures to be seen and admired from every part within the space.
