Ronaldinho Crossbar Challenge

Through my time at Framfab I have been part of 20+ different launches for nikefootball.com.  From the world cup to the European cup, from new apparel to new high-tech boots for the world famous football players to the new running shoes from SHOX. +15 award shows won over the years in Framfab. 

For this specific project we were contacted by Nike who wanted to promote the new Ronaldinho football boot in a different and less costly way. This time they wanted to be first mover before Addidas launch of Preditor. 

At this time Ronaldinho was untouchable. Everything he touched turned to gold. At the same time YouTube was seriously gaining momentum.Together with NIKE and the hired film crew we came up with an idea and found a way to execute it. This involved various tests and long discussions about credibility vs. fake. A trip to Barcelona with a small film crew and an hour with Ronaldinho gave us the shot we needed.


The viral movie went on to win all awards that year Cannes Cyber Lions, The One Show etc. and the following year in the traditional advertising awards categories as the movie had quilified to enter this competitiion after having being showed at Neu Camp in Barcelona as out door. 

First digital movie ever to make this transfer. In 2010 the movie has entered in the Hall of Fame for the One show.
