Indr by IndiGo - Airline Brand Design

Indr Airlines is a (fictional) premium sub-brand of IndiGo, India's largest airline with 48% market share. IndiGo successfully brought the flight experience to the masses with affordable fares and engaging campaigns that maintain its Fun, Cheeky and Modern tone of voice.

Indr Airlines aims to maintain everything that IndiGo has established - its youthful and quirky tone, its informal yet professional feel, its affordable and approachable nature; and take it up a notch. Indr targets the top-tier middle class and upper class millennials, and focuses on Cheeky, Premium and Approachable as its three main brand attributes.​​​​​​​
Initially worked on these Stylescapes (above) for Indr Airlines.
They are wide landscape form designs, work as an extension of Moodboards, and give a visual direction for the whole identity design down the line.
During the process of designing the Stylescape, through experimenting with the colour palette, the imagery, the graphic elements, packaging, signage and collaterals, the overall vibe of the brand was solidified.
The Dot motif is inspired from the Logomark of IndiGo airlines. It is used throughout the design, in the logo, as a framing device, and pops up in signage and other designs as a visual identity element.
The phrase '6Er' is inspired by '6E' motif used by IndiGo throughout their campaigns, branding and even their IATA code - 6E Coupons, 6E Rewards, Hello 6E in-flight magazine, etc. It is a play on the word 'Sexy' and emphasizes that their Cheeky tone is at the forefront of their brand.
Indr airlines uses the motif '6Er', implying itself as a premium version of IndiGo in all aspects.
