Breaking Through.
What: Lettering for posters / Where: Global Initiative / Client: Ana Robles

I was recently invited by Ana Robles ro be a part of her “Breaking Through” project, a book about Latinx/e creators that touch on the subject of the immigrant experience, political issues in the homeland, or breaking in white-dominated areas like design and art. The two main focuses of this project are to inspire and to be accessible.
It was a real honor and pleasure for me to join Ana’s cause with these 4 posters that touch on my own personal experiences and thoughts. I think the main point that I wanted to get across with these series, specifically with the message within the posters, was that everyone has something to say and to bring to the table. Regardless of your race, gender, age, language and nationality we all have a valuable point of view, and as minorities it is our responsibility to stand up for what we believe in and fiercely defend that point of view.
