Chinatown Greetings
During the pandemic, Edmonton's Chinatown has lost approximately 30% of it's businesses and it continues to face many challenges. Chinatown Greetings is an artist initiated community fundraiser project with a mission to celebrate Chinatown, help raise awareness, and bring foot traffic back into the area.
An illustration was adapted into 100 illustrated banners for the community to display. Merchandise was also created to sell with 100% of proceeds going towards future art/community initiatives in Chinatown.

Various merchandise such as posters, pins, hats, and tote bags were created from illustrated work and sold at a online and at a pop-up shop. The project was able to raise over $8000 in proceeds to help fund future artist and community initiatives in Chinatown.

100 banners were given out to businesses around Chinatown to display as part of an "art walk" to encourage people to walk around the area and visit local businesses. A scavenger hunt event was also organized featuring prizes from other local Asian artists.
