NETFLIX - ARMY OF THIEVES

We have been asked to support our friends at megaherz with renderings for the motion design package of Netflixs' Army of Thieves, that they've been working on. Of course we were happy to polish up our text extrusion skills and animate the main title sequence as well as character and location introductions.
LAYOUTS, LAYOUTS, LAYOUTS
As with all design heavy project a lot of effort goes into trying out different styles and approaches. With the Army of Thieves motion graphics the main direction that we were heading was already set. But a lot of work and fun went into how to shape all the details to make it work as a continous packaging for the show.
ROUND ONE / MASTERING THE MAIN TITLE
Obviously the most crucial bit we tried to tackle that first with quite a bit of exploration going on for the style.
Trying more solid black backgrounds as well as abstract vault inspired shapes, colorfull variations and reduced palettes there were a lot of options to play around with.
ROUND TWO
Transfering the style from the Main Titles to the Character (plus Location) Introductions. The goal was to get a unique style for every character but also keep everything in line with what's been established in the titles.
