1967 was the last, and only, time the city of San Francisco has hosted the NBA All Star Game. Since then, the culture, image, and design of the sports world has shifted in many different directions. As an avid basketball fan and SF native, I took this opportunity to explore my take on branding this event for my hometown. This was designed in 2020 for my final project at CalArts.

All Star type structure was inspired by Victorian & Edwardian homes commonly seen throughout the city. It also serves as the main centerpiece for the logo mark to illustrate the Golden Gate Bridge, the most iconic representation of San Francisco.

The patches feature some iconic visuals of San Francisco with a basketball twist, a fun way to combine the sport with SF’s diverse personality. They are best utilized as accessories to the tote bags.

ASG Jerseys feature the traditional Home and Away colors, which represent the two main bridges in San Francisco: The Bay Bridge (white) and Golden Gate Bridge (red). Player patches represent individual accolades a player has received throughout their careers and are curated to each unique player jacket.
