Corita Kent’s Animated Message

This animated quote is taken from one of Sister Corita Kent’s 10 Rules for students and teachers, specifically rule #8, “Don’t try to create and analyze at the same time”.
The rapid spinning of the message is to engage with the viewer’s attention and hold it. The 2 second intervals are quick but repetitive and embody the idea separating brain processes. The movement acts as a visually interesting element, while the text of the message only becomes fully clear after watching through the duration of the animation. The two components work in tandem while demanding different attention.
