In the summer of 2021, I was lucky enough to participate in one very interesting project. It was the shooting of the book trailer for the book "The Shadow of Manuel" as practically the main character! ))) It was necessary to portray a medieval painter. That is, in real time, draw an illuminated letter on parchment, and all this was filmed on camera. Of course, a tiny part got into the video.
The terms of reference for the drop cap looked like this: “… An allegorical net given by Jesus to the Apostles Peter and Andrew to catch human souls. Look: the crosshairs from top to bottom are golden, and from left to right are red, and a thin graceful dark blue branch inside the net symbolizes the human soul caught in the net, which means that it was saved for life in the Kingdom of Heaven. "
The task was completed!
As is often the case, it all starts with something small and then grows into a whole project. So here - first an order for a drop cap, then video shooting, and then somehow the letters and the whole cover for the book were drawn by themselves.
