For this post, I will be talking about how my fourth shoot went with my fourth model. Again, this shoot was done in a studio and the collaboration between my model and I was a very enjoyable experience. Although, there was a little hiccup with my light trigger not engaging with the Light Softbox Kit when I tried to take pictures of my model. But overall, everything went according to plan. 

As usual, I will be showing images of my fourth model's emotions throughout the time where she was listening to her three choice of songs. They are happy, hateful and emotional songs. 

1. Favourite song my model chose - The Carpenters - Top of the World 

My model's emotions whilst listening to her favourite song 

Lyrics: "I'm on top of the world lookin' down on creation 

And the only explanation I can find". 

These images shows the model having a great time as she started listening to Top of the World. The images show how much the model was enjoying herself whilst the music was playing in her headphones. I wanted to get as much of pictures that I could to capture my model's happiness and I was happy I was able to get few of them. 

The images I personally enjoyed looking at was the one where my model was humming to herself whilst she had her hands in the air smiling. It was almost like the mood has been lifted around her and she was to express herself through a series of dancing. After the shoot ended, I asked her why the song was her favourite and she answered by saying that she plays the song when she's either busy or in her spare time. 

2. Disliked song my model chose - New Order - World In Motion 

My model's emotions when listening to the song she does not like 

Lyrics: "Express Yourself x2 

It's one on one". x2 

What I like about these images above is that as soon as my model hit play on World In Motion, her mood had turned foul. Because the song was about the England Football Team back in 1990, and my model is a huge fan of Football. Her reason was that ever since the song came out in 1990 for the World Cup, she believed that the song may be cursed as to why the the national team have not progressed beyond the last eight of the competition before the 2018 World Cup where the team finally progressed to the semi-finals. 

Which then explained the faces she pulled and I thought with these images, represents how disappointed and annoyed she looked. Even with two of the images of her taking her headphones off and not listening after fifty-five seconds of the song being played, which again shows her displeasure to the song. 

3. Emotional song my model chose - Theodora Gospel - Before I Formed Thee 

My model's emotions become clear when she was playing her song that made her emotional

For the third song, my model chose Before I Formed Thee by Theodora Gospel, which was made back in early 2010s. With these images above, it can tell how emotional my model was because she's a Catholic person and would always go to church every weekend. She told me that gospel music always has the power to break her or even make her shed a tear and I was personally proud that she was strong enough to get through it with no tears this time. 

I really like two of the images that were close-up because it then shows my model's emotions in a lot more detail. Even at one point, I was able to capture her looking up at the ceiling, showing how much this song meant to her as a proud Catholic person. 

Summary 

The fourth shoot was very interesting. It has made me enjoy myself more when I am doing this project. For my model, it was a very good experience and it was fascinating to see the raw emotions of my model and see how she reacted to her music.
