BUBBLETON 

A mirror made of recycled clothes. 

This is my first experience in the Recycle theme! 

For 4 months I studied the topic of waste recycling in Russia, what can be done with raw materials and how to use it in my design. I looked at textile waste. 

According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, the volume of textile waste increased by 811% between 1960 and 2015. Most of them — about 66% - are sent to landfills. What goes to sorting is ground and regenerated fiber is obtained. 

In Russia, it is used to make non-woven fabric for mattresses, walls, insulation, create a new thread from which a new fabric is woven. 

It became interesting for me to work with different binders that can be recycled again. And as a result, the resulting material turned into a stone that will last a long time, and if there is a question of recycling, then it can be ground, and the mass sent to the construction of a new house.
