Portable EEG headset for children with ADHD

2021
Problem
We all live in the age of the ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) epidemic. According to a national 2016 parent survey, 1 in 10 children in the USA have been diagnosed with ADHD.

Solution
Pigpug develops a telemedicine brain-training platform for kids with ADHD. We are focused on delivering accessible neurofeedback therapy to children around the world.
The comfortable EEG headset is designed specifically for children. It has 4 dry active electrodes that are placed on the head of the user according to the international 10–20 system. The headset measures the electrical activity of the brain and transmits this data to a smartphone, tablet, or laptop. Children receive visual and audible real-time feedback on their focus level, relaxation, and stillness while playing fun training games.
Users can practice at home or in a clinic under a tutor’s supervision. Neurofeedback specialists can monitor their progress and adjust the program from anywhere in the world, significantly reducing therapy costs and increasing access to life-changing interventions. Also, the platform forms a database of the user's EEG. Using this information, the neural network diagnoses ADHD and creates individual training programs.

Process
For now, 7 iterations of prototyping have been completed, and we are ready for pilot manufacturing. Also, the patent application has been filed. Early studies show very promising results: 40 children participated in our pilot course, and 400 neurofeedback sessions were completed. Kids show significant results after 5-6 sessions.
