With much of the adult male population fighting in WWII, women were tasked with filling their roles in the workforce. Though they did so handily, the 'Rosies' were only paid a fraction of what their male counterparts were paid for doing the same job. Today even though women make up close to 50% of the workforce, pay the same tuition fees, and are responsible for the same tax rates, this trend continues. My piece highlights this disparity both through a literal monetary exchange as well as a physical manifestation of the figurative 'glass ceiling.'
