This vector illustration was inspired by the monthly prompt set by @adobedrawing on Instagram. I started off by creating a sketch in Adobe Fresco and moved onto Adobe Illustrator to vectorise the shapes.
Once I picked an initial color palette, I started to fill the artboard with shapes, on a livestream here. As I went deeper into the process, some parts of the sketch were removed and other things were added. The final step that brought the vector illustration to life was the gradients and effects along with changing a few parameters in the 'recolor artwork' panel. Here's a progression of the process -
