MONOCHROME PHOTOGRAPHY
A series of pictures captured in black and white. There are different sources of light including the camera's built in flash and outdoor lamp to bring highlights in the photos. I was playing around with different locations and angles to see how light and shadow will turn out in each photo. The subject in the portrait photo was standing about 5 feet away from the outdoor lamp which highlights her face on just one side and gets darker on the other. The owl decoration being white really helps with the outcome of the image; it stands out against the values of the surroundings. The grass can be differentiated from the bushes because the grass was lighter in color and closer to the camera's flash, therefor, it will be in a gray tone as oppose to the bushes being more darker and black since it is further away from the light source.
