A Beginning
You are light, there is shadow. 

Make it bright. This game is as simple as it comes. A few spheres, a few planes and textures. Nevertheless it took me over a year to get here, as I had learned how to program games from the ground up, using C++ with DirectX 9.0c and without a real game engine. Looking back, it might have been inefficient, but it taught me a deep understanding of how game engines work. 

To this day I still profit from the experience and I can proudly tell people about my first steps in programming, back when I used to load triangles directly into the memory of the graphics card.
