The Vortex is a project that projectiondreams undertook with Antonio,the Vortex was designed by Antonio to optimise 3D & 4K by creating a tunnel effect that "pulled" you into the Movie.

 

Side panels in the tunnel were designed to effectively "enhance" the sound from the Klipsch THX Ultra 2 speakers forward a tad from behind the acoustic transparent 4metre wide 2.35.1 screen.

 

The projector was a JVC DLA X90.

 

A custom media server houses the clients Movie and music collection,processing and amplification are from Yamaha,the celing was an industrial metal arrangement with fibre optics..and the whole ceiling can fire out heat if it gets too cold!..or aircon if it gets too warm in summer..grey carpet and grey and black acoustic wall covering was applied as well as internal layers of Rockwool..equipment was hidden within "the tunnel" and a real cinema door added..

 

Fantastic blue fibre optic lighting was applied to enhance the tunnel effect and stages..

 

The system had an EXPERT SETUP...and is designed for performance above all else..
