TRT1 ID's
TRT1 is the flagship channel for Turkey’s TRT. We started with the idea of all the different parts of Turkey that come together to make one nation. After various evolutions, we settled on four IDs representing four attributes that the channel and the nation aspire to. The goal was to represent the values that TRT1 and Turkey aspire to metaphorically and poetically.
In this ID, we use roots to represent the idea of inclusion. All the roots come together to create the whole.
"We are all unique individuals who come together to comprise Turkish culture and the Turkish nation.” The country is represented by roots that form the TRT1 Logo.
In this ID we use flowers to represent bravery. The beautiful flowers seem fragile, but they withstand the onslaught of strong winds when they are together.
"Bravery is both when you have the advantage and when you are on your back foot. The Turkish people are brave.”
It this ID we use fabrics to represent caring. The silky fabrics wrap around us and envelop us in their warm embrace.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-'God damn it, you've got to be kind."
In this ID we represent optimism. There have been good and bad times, but, the sun always rises.
