NYC from the back seat of a yellow cab

This great city never ceases to fascinate me and cruising in the back of cab is a relaxing way to take photographs and watch it all go by at a sometimes reckless speed. As there is no fixed destination, stress is not a part of the experience even when stuck in an endless jam. The square format was shot with a hefty Hasselblad 503 CW that was quite difficult to manipulate when being thrown around the back seat. This was the first digital back Hasselblad put on a camera with a Kodak sensor with enormous photosites and it beautiful (50-400 asa and 16mp) in normal conditions but in low light it was really crap - noisy with no latitude for pushing. The other images were from a 12 mp Canon 5D.
