A weekend project on an idea I've been kicking around for years:
what if Spongebob was an autarchic toy, made in Italy in the 1930?
With a style inspired by the Rubber Hose animation of the early cartoons like Disney's, I wanted to make Bragaquadra (italian for Squarepants) fit in the zeitgeist of those years - a toy for the balilla kids to play with.
Started as a 2D project during my university years, I rendered it years later with 3D Studio Max and Corona Render.
Berto was also featured on brilliant Magazine 3D Artist :)
