Our project visually represents six stages of the creative process. Every piece, a mixture of still and moving imagery in various mediums, connects to the preceding and proceeding image in a number of ways: first, through a unified colour palette; second, through the motifs of people and sunflowers; and, third, through our overall theme, creating with joy.

Finding joy in inspiration is to let your ideas and thoughts flow freely and bloom. Like sunflowers, they may be seasonal and temporary- the beauty is about celebrating the process and allowing yourself to be present.

You shouldn't go looking for an idea; you should let the idea come to you. Carolyn's ideas often find her while walking among her beloved giant redwoods. This image rhymes the sunlight through the trees with the sunflowers in her hands, an allusion to the feeding, growing, and flowering of an idea from the seed of inspiration.

Takei finds joy in the making of a project, the realising of an idea, and proves it by pushing himself to photograph and collage 72 subjects, each subject expressing their own joy at being part of this stage of the process.
