El problema que se planteaba para este proyecto era diseñar una heladería a más de 6.000km de distancia, que tuviera una imagen corporativa uniforme, de carácter tradicional, italiana.

EL LOCAL - THE SPACE
El presupuesto para el proyecto era muy reducido, por lo que había que enfocarse en algo sencillo y minimalista.

In order to tackle the project, a small research was carried out with the help of the owner, who was on the place. These were some of the insights obtained:
·Los helados se toman a diario en este país, ya que tiene un clima tropical todo el año.
·Ice cream is eaten daily in this country, as it has a tropical climate all year round.
·El momento en el que más personas consumen helado es por la tarde y por la noche, por lo que el local debería estar bien iluminado.
·The time when most people eat ice cream is in the evening and at night, so the place should be well lit.
·Al ser un producto que se puede tomar de pie, orientando el mobiliario a pasar una corta estancia en el local con pocas mesas y sillas, se puede atender a más gente.
·As it is a product that can be eaten standing up, and the furniture is designed for a short stay in the premises with few tables and chairs, more people can be served.

Estas fueron algunas de las propuestas para la fachada, están inspiradas en patrones y diseños típicos de la cultura italiana, presentes en cerámicas, azulejos o vidrieras.

Finalmente, se escogió el pantone 195U como color corporativo, y se realizó un diseño interior luminoso y minimalista, en el que predominan los colores crema y las luces indirectas cálidas. La madera y piedra también están presente para aportar ese toque tradicional y barroco.

Aunque aún faltan elementos por incluir en el espacio, como luces suaves o algún vinilo de pared, el local está abierto y recibe multitud de visitas a diario. Ha sido un proyecto retador en el que la creatividad, la empatía y especulación han tenido mucha importancia.

Although there are still elements to be included in the space, such as soft lighting or some wall pictures, the place is open and receives many visitors every day. It has been a challenging project in which creativity, empathy and speculation have been very important.
