Silkscreen print for 36 Mountains Studio and their project 'Novo nasljeđe'. This one is named 'Ajmo uživat u svemu dok sve ovo ne postane samo sjećanje' (Let's enjoy everything until all this becomes just a memory). The point was to reflect on the city of Zagreb, memories and feelings towards life here. Here’s a little part of my emotions which are sometimes hard to define.
The translation of the text:
1. When did you start the affair with the city?
2. I’m wondering whether this actually is an affair? If it was, it has definitely turned into the stage of a long-term relationship. The one in which the things have become, more or less, of a routine. Waking up, taking a shower, quick breakfast and each of us goes our own way. You know what I mean.
3. But that doesn’t mean that this kind of relationship doesn’t bring occasional surprises. The point is - I should sometimes try looking from a different perspective. Notice the hidden.
4. I understand what you’re talking about. But isn’t security something we as human beings are striving to?
5. Possibly. But somehow I get a feeling I had always been attracted to movement. I don’t know if I could define that differently. Regarding that, I’m not talking about tectonic plates, don’t get me wrong.
6. I’m wondering which course will the relationship take over time.
