Fireball Whisky's Hellraiser app is a first-of-its-kind smartphone experience. It blends the possibilities of emerging mobile technology with the social element of "raising some hell" with friends and strangers alike.
The app would be available for iOS, Android and Windows mobile devices. Fireball whisky drinkers with an NFC-enabled smartphone, however, have the extra cool ability to tap their phone against our promotional stickers to either launch the app or download it if they haven't already done so.
Bars are encouraged to place our promotional stickers in strategic places, such as at the entrance to the bar and on the bar itself, to encourage downloads and use of the Hellraiser app.
The Hellraiser app uses Bluetooth technology to determine other users of the app within the bar. Once the drinker verifies their age, the bright background screen will dim to reveal a single shot glass.
Below it, there is a prompt to invite their friends to the bar.
As more people activate the app, the background screen gets brighter. Flames start to glow atop the shot glass. Finally, after a set number of users in the same bar open the app, it's time to raise some hell!
Users are told to head to the bar for a discounted shot of Fireball whisky with their fellow Hellraisers!
