Monster In Shoes By Chester
In October 2021, my mentor/creative director introduced me to NFT and the potential it can bring to creatives like us. It took me a whole week of sleepless nights, some headaches, and hair loss to basically learn (not expert) the basics and what NFT is all about. I was cranked and on beast mode!
A week later, I created my first NFT in Opensea, a purple-colored monster wearing a classic Air Jordan 1. This NFT was minted under polygon blockchain. I decided to start with polygon for its no gas fee feature while having a secure and instant transaction with Ethereum.
And Yes! I made several mistakes at the start.. But, I will keep on rolling those Monzters.
What is Monzter In Shoes?
The idea behind Monzter In Shoes is to create a series of digital collectibles of a monster wearing shoes that are manually sketched then digitized in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Each monster-wearing shoe is unique and staged in a gradient background. My goal is to release one monster a week to create hundreds of illustrations that are not AI-generated and design each of them differently with consistent branding. An NFT to watch out for!
