[A printed work which cannot be read becomes a product without purpose.]
This aphorism has inspired me bringing to my mind so many fields, art and graphic design works that I have immediately thought of working with it. I wanted to make a work of inspiration more than a “tribute” to the graphic designer, so I have looked much at Emil Ruder’s experimental typographic works and the similar and — in my opinion — connected works of the graphic designer and artist Tauba Auerbach who has done really innovative things in terms of visual communication with typography. Then, all the elements of this leaflet are meant to be eye-catching and interesting in terms of communication and visual impact of words and symbols. The title is enterely made out of symbols which represent a sort of metaphor of the inside work: you can see whatever you want in all of them, and yet you’re still reading and decoding something.
