Khaleeji Vibes
This work started off as a playing-card project for school. I wanted to address the versatility of Emirati heritage, focusing mainly on the clothing.
My plans for this work were ambitious, but in order to keep up with school deadlines I had to simplify my vision.
Upon submission I revisited this project, and added to it as I initially intended. This work was ready just in time for celebration of UAE National Day. The campaign was very well received, and I was approached to modify the composition to illustrate cultural connections between the Emirates and Spain, once again maintaining the emphasis on traditional clothing.
Emirati - Spanish Cultural Exchange and Connections
Meant to be reversible, this final project illustrates cultural exchange between the UAE and Spain, emphasizing traditional clothing. Commissioned by Spanish Community Club of the UAE (Casa del Profesor).
It was exciting to discover similarities between the two cultures and mirror it in my work. Working with this client on this special project was a great experience, and I am very proud of the results of this collaboration.
