BearPaw is a "virtual" gaming device brand encouraging you to play fearless on games. It belongs to my personal sub-brand Ram Bears, expressing the idea of playing no fear. Now, introduce the first model coming to this brand - BearPaw Zero.
This device is designed to give you some fresh thoughts about games and how to play them, while still retain the familiar feelings of game console.
The whole design started with a fairly simple idea of designing a device front face with a distinct shape from the popular consoles'.
The modelling stage isn't as easy as the idea itself. I suffered a lot as I was pushing the progress. Finally, a workflow combined sub-d and hard-surface modelling helped me out the dilemma.
After the hardest part, the device is eventually here, with a weird but unique back side design. I want to keep the overall shape and the UI elements consistent. As a result, even though the system UI isn't designed yet, I still spent some time to make a placeholder which conveys my thoughts.
This brand and project are still moving on. There will be more stories.
